SLHS Project Prom Welcomes You!
The next Project Prom general meeting Date is February 23, 2012.
The Project Prom 2012 Board would like to WELCOME you to your child's senior year. This will be a very exciting year for both your child and yourself.
Project Prom is sponsored by the parents for the students. The money raised will be used to provide a fun, safe, alcohol and drug free event after prom. Prom will be held on May 19, 2012. Project Prom will begin shortly after prom ends at a separate venue.
Project Prom general meetings will be at 7pm @SLHS in the LGI on the following days:

Introducing Cell Phone Recycling-----Project Prom has teamed up with c2greeen, a cell phone recycling company, to collect old cell phones in any condition-working or not. Phones that can be refurbished are provided to battered women's shelters, and those that cannot be repaired are smelted and recycled. Please drop off phones in the main office. We are also looking for businesses and companies that are looking for a safe and responsible way to dispose of their old, unused phones. Contact Ruth LaCaze if you have a company IT contact for your business.

Which Wich - Tuesday October 4 (and also on 11/1, 12/6, 1/3, 2/7, 3/6, 4/3, 5/1) mention SLHS to your server and they will donate a portion of their proceeds to SLHS PP '12.
Papa John's - Monday September 12 (and also on 10/10, 11/14, 12/12, 1/9, 2/13, 3/19, 4/9, 5/14), delivery or carry out, mention SLHS and they will donate 20% of their proceeds to SLHS PP '12 (only available at Papa John's on S. Fry in front of Home Depot)
Chili's - Tuesday September 13 (and also on 10/11, 11/15, 12/13, 1/10, 2/21, 3/20, 4/17, 5/7) enjoy dinner and a night off from cooking and Chili's will donate a portion of their sales to SLHS PP '12. Pick up a flyer (required for donation) in the front office (or download it here or on the "Forms" link Download => 2011-2012 Chili's Project Prom Fundraiser) and present it to your waiter.
Pizza Deaux - Wednesday September 7 (and also on 10/5, 11/2, 12/7, 1/4, 2/1, 3/7, 4/4, 5/2) mention SLHS to your waiter and they will donate a portion of their proceeds to SLHS PP '12.
Discounted PP'12 Event Tickets - Limited to First 25 Customers
Download => Project Prom 2012 Discounted Ticket Order FormA limited number of discounted Big Event tickets, available for $40 (a $20 savings), will be on sale during Spartan Spectacular. Bring the completed form and your payment of $40, payable to "SLHS Project Prom Booster Club" to Spartan Spectacular on Sunday. Don't be late, these will sell out fast!!!
PP'12 - Information Distribution
There will be five ways to get the information you need during Senior Year:
1) First Day Packets: Be sure to look for special Senior section for PP'12 forms.
2) Website: Updated as new events or announcements are received and serves as a depository for all forms required for spirit wear, ticket sales, meeting minutes, financial updates, etc. Feel free to explore.
3) Facebook: Search for the "SLHS Project Prom 2012" fan page and "Like" us to receive updates in your news feed.
4) eNews: Updated weekly with upcoming events, volunteer needs, etc.
5) eMail: Register at Spartan Spectacular to be included in our email distribution list.
PP'12 - Senior Parent Involvement (aka: Volunteers)
Become a Volunteer in the Spartan Army! Sign up sheets will be available for you to sign up and become a part of the biggest party of the year for your Seniors. Help is needed in jobs large and small. There's a place for every senior parent. Contact Vicki Buchanan at 281-492-1653 for more information!
Back-2-School Bash - Friday, August 26
All SLHS students are invited to the 3rd Annual Back-2-School Bash on Friday, August 26, from 7:00pm until 10:00pm in the Main Commons. Kick of the year with this fun event. Tickets are $5 at the door. Student ID required to enter. Dress code is KISD dress code appropriate - so come casual and have a great time dancing and hanging with your friends.
