Introduction

Project Prom is a gift to graduating seniors given by senior parents, not the school or school
district. The cost for each student is approximately $150 to $200, this is the reason we live and
die by our fundraising efforts. If your child will be attending this event, please contact a board
member (click committees tab) to find out how you can become involved in the process today!

What exactly is Project Prom? Project Prom is a drug and alcohol free lock-in celebration. This
is a fun-filled evening for all seniors. We, the senior parents, provide this all night party. It
requires vast amounts of organization, planning, time, money and parental participation in order
for it to be a success.

Who attends Project Prom? All Seven Lakes High School seniors and their dates are welcomed
at Project Prom, regardless if they attend the Prom or not. Historically, the Katy ISD Project Prom
/ Project Grad celebrations have been well attended with approximately 75% of the seniors from
each school participating.

When is Project Prom? Project Prom takes place immediately after Prom ends on Saturday,
April 25, 2009. Check-in for Project Prom begins Sunday, April 26, 2009 from approximately
12:00am through 1:30am (times subject to change) in the SLHS Rotunda. Parents of seniors who
have purchased a ticket but have not arrived by the close of check-in will be contacted
immediately thereafter. Students who have not arrived by close of check-in period will not make
the buses and will be left behind.

Where will Project Prom be held?
Project Prom 2009 will be held at a Dave & Buster's (I-10 @ Loop 610).

How is Project Prom funded? Class monies raised beginning freshman year and continuing
through the senior year fund the Prom and other class activities. None of the money raised for the
Class of 2009 Fund is used towards the Project Prom event.

Funding for 2009 Project Prom event comes from fundraising and donations raised solely during
the senior year. Fundraising and donations (both from businesses and parents) are vital to the
success of Project Prom. We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, a booster club, and begin
our venture with only the money left over from the previous year or from Class Fund donations
from the previous graduating class. We will need to raise a sizeable amount of money to cover
the use of the venue, entertainment, games, senior gifts, prizes, food, transportation, security and
other incidentals.

How can you help? Your involvement is extremely important. There are many ways parents can
help and no job is too small. Take a look at the various committees and see where you would like
to help. Even if you cannot commit the time to serve on a committee, your participation in the
fundraisers is just as important to making this night a success for our seniors. Businesses can
make tax deductible donations and corporate matching is encouraged - BP Fabric of
America and
Schlumberger forms are provided however, other corporations also have matching programs.
Please check with your employer for more information and details. We have a great group of
senior volunteer parents and we are going to have a wonderful Project Prom. Don't miss out on
this opportunity to be involved in your senior's BIG NIGHT.

How do I find out more about Project Prom? Regular updates will be made to this website or
you may contact any of the board members listed on the committees page for more information.
