What is Project Prom?

Project Prom is an alcohol-free and drug-free lock-in celebration given to the graduating seniors by the senior parents.

Project Prom is a gift to the graduating Seniors of Seven Lakes High School given by the Senior parents, not the school nor the school district. It is held immediately following Prom between the hours of midnight and 6:00 AM the following morning. The mission of Project Prom is to provide a fun, safe, alcohol-free, and drug-free celebration for all Seniors to enjoy.

Project Prom is a fun-filled evening for all members of the senior class. Senior students can bring their Prom date regardless if they are a Seven Lakes Senior or not. Senior students are welcome to attend Project Prom without having attended Prom and students are welcome to attend without a date.

We, the Senior parents, provide this all night party for them. It requires vast amounts of organization, planning, time, money and parental participation for its success. If you would like to volunteer, please contact us! For more information, visit our Volunteer page.

The cost for each student to attend is approximately $150-$200, however students pay far less. This is the reason our fundraising efforts are vital to the success of this event. Monies raised in the past for the Class of 2017 do not fund Project Prom. Monies raised from pizza sale, t-shirt sales, etc. are used toward Prom and other class activities. Project Prom begins raising funds in June of the year preceding graduation. Funding comes from fundraising and donations raised solely during Senior year. Fundraising and donations (both from businesses and parents) are vital to the success of Project Prom. We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, a booster club, and begin our venture with a small amount of funds carried over from the previous year or from Class Fund donations from a previous graduating class. We will need to raise a sizeable amount of money to cover the use of the venue, entertainment, games, senior gifts, prizes, food, transportation, security, and other incidentals.

Tickets are required for attendance to this event. Watch for more details as the date draws nearer. Regular email updates are sent regarding Project Prom. If you are not on our mailing list, please let us know so that we can add you today.  Don't miss any of the news this year!  Email president@slhsprojectprom.org to join the list.
